Rodney, this radio is a HAM RADIO.  It requires special licensing as an amature operator.  Is this going with the boat regardless of the qualifications of the purchaser?

As stated in the specs, the 706MKIIG is an optional purchase.

Just a note to mention that my boat is still for sale. Now, if no one buys it, I'm just gonna have to haul it to the SF Bay area with me when I move. Darn...

This afternoon I sold my Catalina 34. I want to thank all the participants in this newsgroup for the "boat load" of information that has been provided over the past years, either directly or indirectly. From what I've seen, this is one of the finest boat newsgroups out there and one of the bigger losses as I transition away from my C34. Thanks again for all the good advice and happy sailing to all!

(PS - I was determined to hold onto my boat. But I continued to have problems with headroom and that really became a deciding factor - that and a good offer at the right time just before a move.)
