Just came back from a week at La Cruz (Porta Vallarta, Mex.) In the La Cruz YC there's a few flags from the "Baja Ha Ha" . What is it? Sounds like my kind of race. Thx.

Baja Haha is a cruising rally that runs from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas with stops in Turtle Bay and Bahia Santa Maria.   It runs every year just after hurricane season wraps up - end of Oct / early November.   We did it as a family a couple of years ago.   It was great fun.   We met other families who were cruising Mexico for the season and learned how to make a C34 do 12 knots.

Latitude 38 is talking about doing a "California Haha" in Sept, mostly sailing between Santa Barbara, the Channel Islands and down to the LA area. They seem to have gotten good response when they inquired as to the interest in such an event.
