I have a "love - dislike" affair with my roller furling mainsail on my 2001.  The mast and furler is from Charleston Spars.  The instructions say not to use vertical battens due to insufficient space when furled.  But what do they know.
Looks to me that my mainsail will need to be replaced in the next couple of seasons.  I would like to here from people that have replaced mainsails and used vertical battens or perhaps found another solution.  If I could improve the mainsail I would do it for next season.  If not I'll wait and hope for some sailmaker to come up with something.
