Just got a call from the guy installing my ignition panel upgrade and I looked up the numbers for Seaward and Catalina for him.  It is the usual..."wires not the same" routine.  Any suggestions?

If he took the old one off without identifying the wires before he removed them, then any time he spends doing "detective work" because he didn't do it right shouldn't be your responsibility.

The color coding is in the Engine Wiring Harness topic in the wiki. http://www.c34.org/wiki/index.php?title=Engine_Harness_Upgrade
Some have reported that the color coding isn't always the same.

Mark : You and he should have read my article in the Mainsheet tech notes.  It warned the color wiring would not necessarily match and it was best to cut one attach it and then cut/attach the opposite side, then another etc. ONE at a time!!  I also recommended that about 1/2" of wire be left on the "trailer connectors" so you could still see the color of the wires !!

Now he'll have to check continunity and identify each wire on both sides.
Good Luck, sure hope that this is a pay by the job and not hourly .
Sorry, don't know what else to tell you.
