I have removed all of the screws holding the aft bulkhead. It is still stuck. Is it glued in place? What is the best way to remove the bulkhead after removing the screws?

I couldn't get my aft panel out the first time I tried.  Then I read on this site that you need to remove the port side panel first.  Once I did that, the aft panel came out easily.  Keep track of which screws go where in the panel and doghouse, because they are different lengths and need to go back in the same place.  Otherwise, you may have a tank puncture.

Be careful of the missing twelfth screw in the aft bulkhead.  Port side out first is right.  Written up in Tech Notes, see the Index on this board and the Knowledgebase and the wiki.

I had the aft panel out 3 years ago.  Difficult at first and then discovered a screw had been put in from the opposite side, could reach in by the steering cables and take it out.  Also, able to put it back. It was about 3 to 4" back from the opening.

Thanks! I have the port panel out as well. However, my issue is that the bottom of the bulkhead on the port side seems to be glued in place. Don't know if it has been sealed with 5200 or something like that. Again, thanks for all the responses.

Lance,

It's either another screw (I think it's called "The Infamous 12th [or 13th - wouldn't that be weird] Screw"), or glue.  Neat, glued or screwed.  No tattoos! :D  Are you also sure it's not wiring attached to the aft side of the bulkhead?

References are: follow these steps --

1.   C34 Tech Notes, click on one of the links on the top line of this MB

2.   Use left side index ONLY, click on Tech Notes (brings you to the same visual page but we've learned over the years that the links are different, trust me)

3.   Scroll down a little bit, then click on the underlined word at the end of the line that says "Jon Schneider compiled an index in Excel format which allows for quick sorting & searching: Tech Notes Index (Excel)"

4.   Open the spreadsheet, go to the TABS at the bottom and click on the middle one "All Articles", then use CTRL-F and find the word "screw"; click on the underlined linked 10.4 to the right -- You'll get a dialog box to enter your C34IA password (NOT the one for this MB).

The first found cell will say: Aft Bulkhead removal (QUIZ: find the ten screws - see Aug '94)

There's another one, too, so keep looking and read the articles. (HINT: the answer can be found on Page 2, of the Aug 1994 issue)

Don't know if they will help your particular thing, but don't know if you've seen the answer before.

Sorry for the old busted links, but the computer language used on the old sections of the website have a few strange links.  Now you all know how to find the material on Jon Schneider's great "Knowledgebase" spreadsheet.
