Hello,

Thanks to all for advice on appropriate headsail. Should also have asked the obvious...reefing gear.

Hood recommend upgrade to Hood Seafurl 707SL to replace the old 915. Local rigger suggests that the 707 is too light for the C34. Has anyone had any experience with the 707? BTW the upgrade price at $835 seems very good

Thank you

Brian : I went with the Hood 808 SL system a few years back.  It works great.
I believe that your local rigger is correct about being too small.

Look at the 808 and I don't believe it is that much more of an expense.
The 808 has a very large open drum and much more room than the 70' of 3/8" line you'll require!

I replaced my 915 in the fall of 2011.  Replaced it with the Seafurl 5  Model 325.  I like the larger drum on it.
