Hello, I just purchased a 1989 Cat 34 that was winterized. Any thoughts on getting rid of the odor from the fresh water tanks which had been winterized. Thanks...

Try mixing up a solution of baking soda in water and adding it to the tanks.  About a cup a gallon.  It has to sit a while to work - while sailing is best as it will slosh around.  Rinse out and repeat as necessary.  The good news is that you can't over do it with baking soda and it is harmless to everything.

I have had fair luck with a product called Aquabon in removing odors and most tastes.  I shock my tanks with Clorox and use the aquabon afterwards to remove the chlorine taste.
