Starting Battery-- Charlie Pearsail & Henry & Mercedes
« on: December 14, 2001, 10:21:17 AM »

Hi,
If either of you have pictures or drawings of the shelf for the battery I would appreciate them.

I talked to the guy who built it for "Henry & Mercedes", but he didn't remember all of the details.

 thanks

I don't have a picture [or a digital camera] but it's pretty straightforward.  It is a piece of 3/4" plywood that is glassed in and painted white to seal it.  It runs between the hull and the cold water heater.  There are two small blocks on the lower inside edge for legs to level the shelf and a 1 X 1 block the width of the shelf on the aft upper edge that also has screws from inside the under-sink galley cabinet to help hold it in place.  The size 24 battery sits aligned fore/aft.
