Just finished the winter Layup of the 'Big Dog' and as one of the final acts I disconnected the negative leads to both the batteries. In speaking to others in the yard there seems to be a varience in disconnecting the batteries. Some do both positive and negative terminals, some do neither and just turn the master switch off and some do the negative only because of the negative ground and stray current leakage. Just wondering what others are doing for the winter. The batteries are left aboard cause it never really freezes in the building where the boat is stored and they are just too darned heavy to move anyway.

For the two winters I've had Sea Life, I've kept the batteries connected and just turned off the main switch (1-all-2-off) to 'off'.  I make it a point to check the boat out every couple/few weeks and do projects, etc.  When I'm there, I plug in and turn the charger on to top them off.
