Would anyone happen to know the inside diameter of the pulpit tubing, or the tubing around the cockpit? i am thinking of removing the brace going down to the ladder.I will be adding legs but dont have access to a welder just now and think i might have figured it out how to do it and not weaken the system.
Thanks.

Howard : The INSIDE diameter of the stainless pulpit tubing is 7/8".
BTW, that connecting piece is in there for integral strength of the stern pulpit.

Thanks Ron. I understand about the connecting piece being there for the strenght. What i am thinking is adding an additional two legs but instead of welding they would be thru bolted from inside the rear locker. All done very neatly so as not to look bad. i have bases and tubing for the legs an will someday get it welded when i am near a facility that can do it.
Thoughts please.
thanks
