I am looking into installing A/C on my boat this spring, and have reviewed a number of posts, pics of installations, etc.  I am honing in on putting the unit in the port hanging locker, and based on what I have seen from members here, 16,000 BTU units seem to be the best bet.  I plan to DIY with the help of a couple of experienced fellow sailors.

I have checked Flagship Marine website - they seem to have good prices, a little more compact unit, but other than one recommendation in a search of our website, I cannot find much impartial feedback on service, quality, etc.  Has anyone had any experience with these units?

They're in the Project page on the homepage, noted in: http://c34.org/bbs/index.php?topic=2629.0

I know this doesn't answer your question specifically, but mention them just in case you were not aware of these articles.
