I have an 87 and one of the pins on my anchor locker hinge worked it's way out. Anybody have ideas on how to fashion a replacement or where I can get one.

Thanks.

I had the same problem.  I considered replacing the entire hinge, but thought better of it.  My solution was to use a cotter pin.  I put it in 4 years ago and it's worked great since.

Rick,

I have had the same problem on a number of hinges on our 86.  I removed the hinge and carefully peened both ends of the pin so that it would not slide out.  I assume I could do the same with a replacement pin if the original was lost.  That could be thin brass rod, stainless, or even 1/2 correctly sized cotter pin.

Guys : Most of the hinges were originally made by Perko.
I've replaced the two on the aft lazerette cover with stainless"short" hinges.  The holes match and the stainless are much stronger.    :thumb:
