I've had a slow fresh water leak for a while.  Finally the stain is leading me to the inspection port of the midship tank.  I've tried teflon tape, I've tried tightening it as hard as I think the plastic will accept, still get a few drops a minute.

Any suggestions?

Ken,
The inspection port cap should have an o-ring where it makes the seal.  My forward tank has an inspection port and the cap has an o-ring on it.

Ken : Your starboard water tank inspection port does NOT have an "O" ring.  It's a 4 inch tapered pipe thread PVC "clean out" cap.

What I've found to keep it from leaking is to make sure that the threads are DRY and then coat the threads with "pipe dope"/thread sealant.  Make sure that you get the NON hardening type sealant.
Again the key is to make sure the threads are dry and like with all plumbing always keep tightening and end tightening!!  Just tighten until snug.
