I just got hauled for a survey and weighed in at just over 14,000 pounds.

I "owed" this information to a couple of folks, and just wanted to let them know.

I am convinced the one ton difference over the specs has to be equipment or the specs are outdated.  I don't believe my boat has absorbed a lot of water.

Makes you wonder what your draft really is.

Are you in the water all year around? How old is she? Do you carry anything heavier than normal? Can you reweigh her before you go back in to see if the weight changed.

I asked when at survey, what my boat weighed while she was in the sling.

The reply was 18,000 lbs.

I think either their guages were off or the driver didn't know how to interpret them.
