As shipping date approaches next week I am wondering if anyone knows the height of the top of the bow pulpit off the ground of the wing keel model?  When I look at the line drawings it looks like about 10 1/2 feet.  I am sure hoping I don't have to arrange at the last minute for the pulpit to be removed prior to transport.

Cap : I pulled my boat this past Thursday.  I'm going down tomorrow and I'll measure that distance.   :)

When I shipped my fin keel the only thing they had to remove was the mast.   8)

Cap : I did measure the distance from the top of the bow pulpit to the bottom of the wing.  It measured 10.6 feet on my 1988!!  good luck.

Thanks for checking.  That's pretty close to my guesstimate based on the line drawings.  Looks like I should be fine on the height!!!!  Voyager will be picked up this Thursday and delivered to Anacortes on about the 29th.  I will be waiting, hopefully when she arrives.  I talked to the yard about mast prep.  They estimate it will take 8 hours (at 42.50 per hour) to remove the stays and roller furler.  I just hope they take care to do it carefully, but it's beyond my control.  they said even if I was there they wouldn't let me do it myself and they won't let a friend that I have down there even in the yard to observe.  "liability"  Yeah, Right!  I am hoping to call Catalina about the varnish and also to see if there is a plastic piece that sits at the base of the mast between the mast and hull (deck stepped mast) as I have no doubt they either lost it or it blew away in hurricane Jeanne.  I will keep you all posted as I  make repairs.
