The link to the wiki page that is in the message below is broken.
https://c34.org/bbs/index.php/topic,10982.msg86941.html#msg86941

If the link is copy/pasted directly into a browser if works (but clicking on the link in the message bring up the wiki error in pic below.)

In plain speak, the link in msg 86941 is correct but something is broken because it ain't working.

The Wiki is just fine  (however there was a typo in the link to it on the Wiki's Diesel Engine page - fixed now).

If you look closer you can see that the BBS link isn't including the closing  ")"  at the end of the URL - one of many Simple Machines / BBS bugs.

As you mentioned cut & paste of the printed URL works...    I wouldn't hold my breath that Simple Machines will fix this bug anytime soon so maybe keep Wiki pages names more succinct in the future.  Page has some good tips... HX is typically the bit that needs cleaning on my boat.

Finally basic search works as well:

Okay it's the SM engine then. Thx for that heads up!

I repaired the link in the message (using the {url} {/url} tags, she understands the text.)
But when the URL is pasted followed by a <CR> then SM will ass/u/me the ending ")" is not part of the link.

CAUTION to TechWiki users.

There's a link on the TechWiki pages (top right side of the header by the user sign in.)  to set Preferences.  Like how to display the date, things such as that.

DO NOT use that link -- when you set them (one some, all preference? - I dunno) something gets broken and access to the TechWiki goes south.  Maybe it's temporary, maybe not -- I dunno (yet.)

https://c34.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
returns error below:

Dave S,  is there a way to get in a back door to reset my preferences to default so I can gain access again?
(If that option/link causes a problem maybe it can be disabled?)

Thx
Ken K

Is ANYONE else not able to access the Wiki?  I mean while signed in (able to edit it) not as a guest reading it?

I keep getting an HTTP 500 Error (which is a general, undefined, server error - see prior post w/ the error.)  This is going on a month now.

I cannot even READ the wiki -- even if I sign out of the forum.
I must delete all C34 cookies (which signs me out of the wiki.)  Then sign into the forum and all is ok there -- I can READ both the (WordPress) main page and the editable Wiki pages (but of course can't edit.)
But once I log into the Wiki site the process w/ the Error starts all over again.

So it doesn't appear to be caused at my end because signing out fixes the error and I can view it as a guest.  It appears to be at the server end (at least that's how interpret it) because it occurs only when the server sees my username.

Anyone looking for "manuals" on the TechWiki
The Manuals page on the wiki is broken.  Well, to be precise the link to it from the wiki main page is broken (again.)

The link on the main page points to:
http://c34.org/nonWPWik/?title=Manuals

The link SHOULD point to:
https://c34.org/wiki/index.php?title=Manuals
(i.e., similar to the other pages; e.g., https://c34.org/wiki/index.php?title=Maintenance)

I don't know why this is broken but how do we get this fixed?

I was able to get to the manuals page via the engine page.

https://www.c34.org/wiki/index.php?title=Manuals

Ken, I think the nonWPwiki is what the problem is.

Yah, ya can - but why?  I posted the direct link below.

Yah I know the problem - i don't have access to FIX it.

One can also find it using the wiki page search box.

Stu the link on the main page is still broken.

is there some way to get this fixed?  Permanently?  I believe it was fixed once before but reverted back to a broken link.  It's just a simple matter of changing the link (of course the Main Page is locked so I cannot do it.)
