If you're talking about the "hidden" (under the alternator) fuse to the starter solenoid, when I relocated mine (see Critical Upgrades) I started out with larger ones 20a and worked my way down until one popped and put the next larger one in.  I didn't do it based on the wire size because I wasn't smart enough to do so.  It's been working for 15 years now, don't recall the size, it may be in that Critical Upgrades thread.

Pls clarify.
Are you talking about a fuse at the battery on the cable that feeds the starter, like a MRBF??  Many use 150a.
Or the fuse Stu speaks of for the solenoid (OEM was 20a)?
