I purchased two deep 1 1/8" sockets and for the price of some donuts for my amazing and talented coworkers, one of our machinists machined off the top of the lower socket and one of our welders welded the two together.

Quoteany recommendation as to where to buy a socket that is long enough for the keel bolts?

Lots of previous discussion on that.  Due to variables in production the stud length varies.  Suggest you measure and see what you do need.  Also suggest you use the search here for "keel bolts" "keel studs" etc.
Here is what I did.

Guys : As previously reported, I got mine from "Snap On" Tools.  Then I adapted a 1/2 drive on to a length of 2 1/2 ft pipe.  Drilled a hole in the top of the pipe so it is a "T bar" for tightening!!  107 ft lbs

A few thoughts
