Guys : I don't know what everyone else does, but I only check my BOAT transmission ONCE a year.  When I suck out all the fluid in the spring and then refill to the correct level. 

Other than that spring check with the dip stick, I might wipe the transmission with a paper towel just to make sure there is no leak!!  Especially around the shifter lever.
 
How many times do you check the transmission fluid level in your Auto??          KISS!!!   :shock:
