I just replaced my mainsail halyard and the PO had installed 7/16 and I went back to the OEM 3/8".  Well now my Cam lock doesn't want to hold the line.  I sprayed it with lubricant and worked it a dozen times and eventually it held, but one I opened and closed it again the line would slip.  Will continuing to exercise it do the trick or am I going to have to rebuild it.

Any suggestions, greatly appreciated

Now you know why the PO used 7/16 line. Is the Spinlock maybe designed for 7/16 or 3/8?

The XTS 0814 should be good for 8mm-14mm (5/16"-9/16") line.

What type of line did you use?  I have recently installed 3/8" Stay Set X and it slips through the clutches. Regular stay-set did not. Perhaps the outer sheath is too slippery.
