Alex,

Had that not happened to me I probably wouldn't have given it much thought either. It's not a bad idea to have a plan in the back of your head for how best to rapidly deploy an anchor. One thing I did learn from the experience, if it happens, it's going to happen fast.

Thanks for the caution and exactly why I thought to ask. I like having at least pre-thought out scenarios. It gives me a process of actions that are much quicker and effective than being caught out.
