My boat came with bottom paint painted all the way up to the top of the lower boot stripe.  I have nearly removed all the paint that covered it and am looking to find out where to strike the new waterline.  In pictures I've reviewed, the white reveal below the lower boot stripe appears to be a bit wider than the reveal between the two stripes above.  Does anyone happen to know what it is supposed to be?

Alex,

My boat's bottom paint comes to about 1" below the bottom edge of the lowest boot stripe. That will give you roughly a mean 4" of bottom paint above the waterline around the boat. This is how my boat is now and the way it was delivered to the original owner.

Thanks... 1" below was my shot in the dark answer.  It's good to jhave confirmation on that guess.  I was a bit surprised that I couldnt find a DWL spec.
