I saw another post on this forum that discussed connecting the water heater hoses off the HX instead of on the engine off the thermostat housing. That is my intention.

1.  May I ask why you would choose to do that?

2.  Do you have a link to that earlier discussion?

Hi James, FWIW - I put 20 mil pvc tape between the bracket and the HX. I think the brand was Orbit and bought at Home Depot. I use it to isolate dissimilar metals and in this case to allow movement from thermal expansion of the HX.
