I changed my plexiglass panels out with white formica , glued back to back to get the thickness, then eliminated the handles and just have finger holes.   Interior looks larger for sure.

Its a small thing but I need a handle from the hatch in the head.  Does this boat have a bomar hatch in the head? Replacements are no longer available.

Nice job Glenn!  As my boat is identical to yours, I would like to order the exact same panel.
Can you give me the email address for Steve at DMP and how much they charged you for the panel?

Thanks

Something tells me backing out is going to be difficult.  Just a feeling.

One thing I forgot to mention about the replacement Remote Control Panel is that the panel cutout is exactly the same as the Link 2000 panel. It made for a very simple installation.

I would recommend getting the mast head antenna sorted out and fixed  so you can have a fixed mount VHF as well as a hand held.  You should also consider getting a cockpit remote mike for it as well. I have my Garmin GPS wired to the radio so my GPS position is not only visible on the cockpit mike but is also sent out with any DSC messages.  One find day, I inadvertently sent out a distress call and the coast guard knew not only who I was but exactly where I was (on my mooring).   It was an inadvertent but very worthwhile test of the radio, GPS and the coast guard's response.

My Freedom 10 inverter comes on with just the batteries.  Mine is a 1000 watt inverter and we have no issues running a Keurig coffee maker off it.  You might want to check the fuse between the inverter and the batteries to make sure it isn't blown or has a bad connection.

I replaced the mounts on Gratitude with Vetus K75 mounts which have worked fine.  I replaced the mounts one at a time without lifting the engine;  remove the pin from the mount (use a vice) and slide the mount under the bracket, and reinstall the pin with a nut under the bracket.  You may need to remove a bracket to be able to access and remove the broken off lag bolt.   There are posts describing this procedure.

Thank you Jon!
I would think the coarser 20 mesh should be adequate in preventing pump issues.
Has that been your experience or would you recommend the 40 mesh?

Can you point me to where I can find such a strainer?
That would save me some digging time.

I replaced my Link panel when it started to lose functionality.  I gave up counting amps and installed a Xantrex remote control panel.
https://www.altestore.com/store/inverters/inverter-accessories/remote-controls/xantrex-freedom-12-25-remote-control-panel-p2099/?gclid=CjwKCAjw5p_8BRBUEiwAPpJO60DwBgOGeKeOB0-qqAEIU9IXzqPhyQpjZQhfrls1TtTNxOnlO79ZlRoCoikQAvD_BwE

I found that the basic battery monitoring functionality satisfied my needs and I don't miss the precise  amp hour tracking.   And the inverter works fine.

The riser on my engine failed with no notice 2 seasons ago, and my boat is the same vintage as yours.
So my opinion would be to either replace it while you have the boat down for the exhaust hose project, or plan to do it another time that is convenient.   I should have done it as a winter project rather than lose a couple of weeks in the summer.

MRE

If the riser moved up an inch, that is more than I would expect the whole engine to move on the mounts.  Look over the condition of your riser carefully; mine failed 2 years ago , and it broke right where the water injection connection is made.

When I replaced a riser a few years ago,  CTY was significantly cheaper than CD and they threw in the insulation at no additional charge. I think I had to buy a street elbow to complete the installation but I was able to get a stainless elbow on Amazon.   Frankly I was irritated at CD's policy of not selling you the riser without also selling you their expensive insulation kit.
