Porch you may want to call Edson. Mine SS handle broke, and they sent me one for free. The man I spoke to was very helpful and nice.

I always try to get the belt tension to the point that I can twist the belt 90 degrees.

Another trick: Take a 1x3 or 1x4 piece of wood (about a foot long) or similar. When you loosen the bolt on the alternator, the easiest way to move it is to put the end of the wood against it and gently tap with a hammer. then re-tighten the bolt before re-tensioning the belt.

I'm finding that a new belt loses its tension pretty quickly as it runs in. I've gone from 60-70 lb down to 40 lb a couple of times with my new belt. I'm still re-adjusting it to get it to stay at 60-70. Next time I have a new belt, I'd start at around 90 lb and watch to see if it drops to 60-70.

Good idea!  How are you measuring the pressure?

When I refinished my floor I used West system clear epoxy and have been very happy with the results. I can post pictures if you would like.

Might be a job worth a wait. The inside will not rust, soaked in oil. I think it may be a job that leads to other issues, such as engine alignment.

Sorry just read your other thread, seems to be toast.

I put one on several years ago and it is easier to raise the sail however I still need to winch the last 5 feet. If I have extra hands on the boat, I like to jump the main from the mast, very easy to raise from there.

You may want to check these. I have not used them but the guys in my British car club like them.

Hate to sound negative, but the last place I would take suggestions from on automotive electrics is from an
organization involving British cars. :(

Sorry but I failed calculus. : shock: When I paint the bottom, I use 1 gallon plus a little, however there are variables.IE. paint, thickness of application..

PS I really did not fail calculus, but it was a long time ago and I may have inhaled during college.

I do not believe the manufacturer is still in business. I got replacements from Defender, see my thread from above.

Noah's suggestion to use the wiring kit from CD.  That gets you the color code for the main harness.  I wouldn't frett about the colors for the start button wires etc.

I want to rebuild my whole panel with new gauges.  Mine are pretty well sun busted.  Does anyone have a source for the gauges sold in the kit sold by CD?  They are lit in a way that makes them SO MUCH easier to see at night.  I have snooped around but have yet to find the ones used by the factory.

Maybe try an impact screwdriver with the correct sized bit.
