I am holding onto it for a few more days. If I can't find a place for it, I am sending it back.

Bill....where did you put your tank?

I have the same unit and can't find a place for it besides under the sink if I remove the fridge drain pump.

Hello all. I think I have found a location for my Whale Gulper 2 gallon tank and pump. I am going to put it under the counter to the right of the sink where the fridge manual pump is and water hoses are. I can remove the fridge pump and should have enough room in there for the tank. Will be easy to drain the sink into it. Will be a tight fit, but I think it will work. I can eliminate opening through holes every time I want to drain my sinks. Pump will automatically expel the water. Just need to figure out what above water through hole I want to use. Also, I plan to pump the shower in my bilge, but might connect it to the WG tank. Not sure about that yet.

Question is...the manual foot pump for the fridge....If I have it connected to drain to the tank, will I need the pump to get the water from the fridge in the tank? I thought it would just drain out and surprised I even need a pump just for the fridge.

Also, what outlet could I hook it into for pumping out that is above water? Right now I have the AC, bilge and I think two holes for the propane vent (not sure, I need to check).

KW....The wiring is a mess, everywhere. I'll clean it up once I get the other issues sorted out. I think my boat had 3 owners before me, so somewhere along the line, someone installed many little gauges and gadgets, but didn't clean up the wiring in the process. I'll post pics of the the nav station and the back of the control panel (stay seated for that picture haha).

I have the Whale Gulper kit with the 2 gallon tank. I still have to install it.

The shaft seal unit is very loose. I barely touched it and it moved, which allowed water to spew in. Almost like the shaft fell off because i could easily move it up and down. I managed to get it back to a drip and had the marina order a PYI unit for my shaft size. Waiting on the part. Hope to get it fixed ASAP.

I will get more pictures of the engine on Sunday when I am back on the boat. I will try to get better pictures of the shaft, too. My phone is old. Sorry for the poor quality.

The PO wiring leaves something to be desired....what a mess! Major mess.

I thought the shaft looked off. It leaks pretty bad when I motor somewhere. Sitting at the dock, it drips a little. The out of alignment makes me feel pretty uneasy. Is this a difficult repair?

Here are a couple pictures of the prop shaft. The pool of water has since evaporated and there is a smaller puddle.

Looks like there is a leak coming from the prop shaft and the water pools right there behind the engine. Not happy about this one.

Engine is Universal 25XP  #501070

The vented stanchion on port where the hose from the black tank was connected to leaks, even though I plugged it and temporarily taped the opening in the stanchion. Must be faulty seal.

Some detectable water stains under forward cushion area coming from anchor box. But not much and no pooled water.

Main Message Board / Port side list at dock
June 12, 2018, 08:19:55 AM
Hello all. I have noticed a slight list to portside at dock. Constant list, not occasional. I can feel the list when I am in the cabin. My fuel tank on the port side is half full. There is a small diesel heater on that side, too. The black tank is gone. Starbird side has a full water tank and 3 batteries. The AC system is in the middle under the forward birth. Bilge is near empty.

What could be causing this list to port?

KW it is a Universal. I don't know anything else about it. I'm still learning and trying to get the boat ready to be lived on end of June.
