Here are two pics of the tool pushing a bearing out and pushing one in.
You cannot push the old bearing out with the new, it does not have the rigidity necessary to not crush and fold up.  The pusher is a piece of 4130 tubing turned to just under the diameter of the bearing housing.

I used Dan's bearing tool last weekend.  Worked great!  Made the job very easy.

I rented a gear puller from an auto parts store to pull the prop.  All in, I probably had 2 hours into it.  Thanks again Dan!

Just to confirm, I know it is a festoon, I have a picture of the bulb.  And, I'm assuming it's 42mm, but would like confirmation.

I'm looking to replace the bulbs in my slider cabin lights (slide one direction for 1 bulb, the other for both) in my 1988 C34.  I understand they are festoon bulbs, but can anyone tell me the length?  I'm not able to get to the boat to measure right now.  I see many others that have bought replacement LED's, but I haven't seen anything that shows the length of the base.

Thanks

I would be interested in those numbers as well.

Any chance you can publish them here?

Thanks

Main Message Board / FX Sails

I was looking at FX Sails for my boat, and wondering what others with FX Sails think of them?  Are you happy with them, would you buy them again?  Do they hold up OK?

I've seen other topics about FX sails shortly after buying them, I'm curious about longer periods of time with the sails.

They appear to be using the exact same dacron (weight and source) that Quantum quoted me, which made me feel good that it wasn't some cheap sail cloth.

Thanks.
