Our engine has 400 hours and the bracket was cracked half way.  They sent the new bracket and it is installed now.  Some of the 350's also have this problem.  Sea Shell 2003 #1642

Main Message Board / Missing limber hole?
June 17, 2005, 06:06:02 AM
Yesterday I checked and found there is a 3/8" hole draining the forward area that drains to the area under the mystery hatch and then down to the rest of the bilge.  a larger hole would be better but this is better then nothing.

Main Message Board / Companionway & Hatch Screens
April 16, 2005, 07:54:37 AM
We have found the Bugbuster Companionway screen to be very effective for us.  The cost is much less than solid screens and they take up very little space in their plastic case when not needed.  Last summer we gave it a major proof test in the everglades where none of the millions of bugs waiting for dinner were able to gain entry.  West Marine shows them on page 573 of the 2005 catalog.  We are thinking of getting one for the forward hatch.  The present screen for the hatch will not allow adjustment of the hatch opening without removing the screen first and flooding the boat with hungry bugs.

Mike,

I knew exactly what you were trying to do since I have spent a bunch of time out there going around in circles trying to get my ST-60 wind meter to initialize without success.  When the grand guru at Raymarine lets you know the secret handshake please let me know also.

Thanks, John

Main Message Board / Kubota equivalent

For the M35B I believe the engine equivalent is the 1305 E.  That is what is on the block of my engine.

Main Message Board / Weaver mounts
August 05, 2004, 05:39:11 PM
My used dingy came with Weaver mounts since the previous owner used them on his 45' motorboat.  I called Weaver to order some hooks to install on the transom of our Mark II 34 and they advised me not to use the mounts on sailboats since the dingy could get caught by a wave when heeling.  On our trip across the Gulf to the keys this spring we had some waves where that could have been a problem.  Just might be careful.  We hoist our hard dingy with the extra jib halyard and mount it forward of the mast well lashed down.
