I followed the link Ken previously provided & found the following:

https://www.fpmarine.com/Pushbutton-circuit-breaker-for-12-volt-electrical-p/2-5700-ig1-k10-xx-screw.htm

It is the same part number as the picture of the circuit breaker Catalina Direct sells for over $40, the price shown on the link is under $20.  Have not checked yet on availability.

I have an older version of the same AC breaker for my Water Heater, it is convenient to be able to turn it off & does not require panel modification like a switch breaker would require.  I used a push to reset for my AC unit & it was not able to be switched off, that would be very convenient.

I plan to order for my AC unit & Battery Charger so they can be hard wired, the holes are already I  my Power Panel for the additional breakers.

Go Glenn.

I've worked with 3D printing % it can produce some amazing finished parts made from a number of materials.

I have original teak eyebrows, decided not to reinstall & they are looking for a good home.  Each long eyebrow is in 2 pieces, they were stored bent in a climate controlled storage locker & broke at one of the screw holes.  A real pain to ship so I would rather sell to someone local to Balt/Annapolis area.

I have the original Salon table which was replaced with a smaller table so I have no need for the original table.  Has no hardware because it was used for the smaller table.  Located in the Balt area & would rather deal with somebody local.  Asking $100.

Main Message Board / Re: arm on a 1986 vberth hatch
October 19, 2018, 08:56:28 AM
The arm holds fine but I got a great deal on a new arm (round vs flat) & I was able to make it fit.  The old arm would allow the hatch to be entirely wide open because the two pieces came apart.  The new arm does not come completely apart which is preferred for me.

I replaced the entire arm because it was getting sloppy.  I still have the old arm if interested.  Just pay shipping from MD.

I have a 1986 with a Hood roller.  I am located North of Balt but have a gauge tee that lives down near Pax River.   My wife and I were planning on heading down there next weekend

1986 C34 here hull # 42

Bow water tank under V berth, starboard under setee & it had a 200 liter bladder under the aft berth I plan to reinstall.  I also always seem to have water on the starboard cockpit set when it rains.  I just use a squeegee to clean it off.

I replaced mine last year & went with the bare SS.  I took the old life lines to a local place, making sure I marked them for install.  I suggest using some PB Blaster to make the removal process easier.  You may also consider if adding a midship gate is of interest.  In my case I have finger piers both port & strb but if I had to do it over I would have added them.

Main Message Board / Re: Cockpit scupper hoses
February 19, 2017, 03:16:55 PM
I replaced the scupper hoses with trident wire reinforced hose, pretty simple job.

I also replaced the 17 ft exhaust hose, pricey as you stated.  A local marine store gave me the same price as Defender.  I found feeding it in both directions from the port cockpit locker worked for me.  Rubber coated gloves made twisting the hose easier but getting inside the port locker was not easy for a 60 yr old 5'11" 225 lb guy.  Once inside there is ample room but getting back out of the locker was NO FUN.  Tying a line to the binnacle made it easier but coming out feet first on my back made me wish I did it 20 yrs ago.

I fed the hose into the area under the sink in the head & had the wife assist with a broom stick while I fed the hose, minimal effort but it was slow & tedious.  Turning the hose gave me more control to feed it in the route I needed.  Getting it aft into the lazerette was a cut easier but I strongly suggest it is a two person job.
