Jon W, Greetings & I was happy to see your install in person, thanks.

What model Windlass did you use.  I like the model you used better than the Maxwell.

Have to remove the end caps to get to it, no way to fish a messenger line through.

My youngest daughter is getting married in Oct but I see retirement a few years away.  I love my job & it gives me flexibility to spend weekends on the boat.

I am doing a bunch of reading because the Chesapeake Bay has lots & lots of places to visit, drop the hook & relax.

I cut a small hole in the rubber top of the K&L filter & screwed the nylon 90 deg fitting into it.  Should be almost zero pressure since it is motor air intake.

Used a brass 90 deg adapter threaded at one end barb on the other.

Was a big improvement in getting rid of engine odor.

Is this a push/push breaker?  Push to reset & Push to turn off?

If so a source is:

That looks like an updated power panel.

I recently rewired my power panel & used a double pole single throw breaker.  I had to be very careful when wiring the GFI outlet with push button breakers down stream, the neutral line had to be separate from the line input to the GFI otherwise the GFI would not operate correctly because of load imbalance.

Is there any work that was done from when it worked to what you are seeing now?

I added an oil separator because I had an issue with a diesel generator while overseas that would not turn off at one time & it was because of excessive blow back from the crankcase.  In that case an oil separator was added to prevent it from happening again.  I added one to my C34 as a preventative measure which as you say is not needed, just in case.

If they were working & now are not, what changed?

If a GFI is connected are the LINE & LOAD side wired properly?

I replaced the standard air filter with a unit from K&L shown in the pic.  I also installed a JPEGS oil separator inline with the vent hose which I routed to the air filter.

Spent this past Sunday on the Chesapeake, great weather but wind was light at times.

Glad your trip went well Glenn.

I have a smaller cocktail table & it works fine to support the cushion for turning the area into a bed.  The smaller table means it does not fully support the edges of the cushion but when laying down provides plenty of support.  It is possible to push a hand through the gap between the end of the cushions but it has not caused any safety issues.

Nice looking custom teak grate.  I would also be interested in any more source info you can provide.  I have a bath mat that covers the head floor but like the idea of what you did.
