I passed your request on to Dave to change it. He changed it this afternoon.

I don't believe I have access to change it. At least it works now.

Hi Ken, I think the Manuals link is working correctly now. Give it a try.

Most products do the same thing, but get there in different ways. Your best first step is to go look at the products and screens of all the manufacturers in person. You may find one fits your personality better than the others.

I single hand my 1987 MK1, and like Stu I don't like being stuck behind the wheel. I installed my system in 2016. I'm very happy with it, but it's antiquated compared to todays product offerings.

I went with Raymarine eS98 MFD at the Nav Station, i70 and i60 displays at the helm, DST800 transducer in STBD FWD salon locker, wind transducer at masthead, Quantum CHIRP 24 Nm radar on the mast, CPT110 thru hull Downvision Transducer under the V-berth drawer, all tied together on a SeaTalkNg network. In the cockpit I use a 10" Samsung tablet in a mounting bracket as a repeater of the chartplotter. I have a RAM mount on the Bimini, and one on the Dodger to mount it. The Raymarine App allows most, if not all, of the functionality of the expensive chartplotter, but the tablet is much cheaper. It connects to the chartplotter via WIFI so no wires to connect, and I can move it around in the cockpit. AIS is a Vesper XB-8000 tied into the network. My autopilot is an old school no frills CPT Wheelpilot. It is a stand alone device so not connected to the network. Point the boat where you want to go, flip a switch and it holds the course. Push a button to change course in single digit increments, 10 degree, or a full tack. Strong motor, waterproof, quiet, I love it.

Should be fixed now. After a lot of effort Dave traced it down to an old/broken flickr plug-in that's now disabled.

Ken, I asked Dave to look into the Manuals link problem you pointed out.

It's not you, there is a problem. I notified the webmaster, but don't know the current status. In the meantime I found a workaround to get to the projects in the Tech WIKI that works on my computer.

Click on the Tect WIKI link at the top of this page
Click on a topic link. It will take you to a black screen. In the URL name https://c34.org/wikiwp/ change it to https://c34.org/wikiwp/bbs/
It will take you to a page that says "OOPs! That Page Can't Be Found" at the top.
At the top of that same page look for the category "Technical", listed 3rd from the left. Hold your curser over it, and select Tech Wiki.
It will bring you to a Tech Wiki page. From here you should be able to navigate and look at the many write-ups folks have posted over the years.

Hope this helps.

Sorry can't post the PDF. I reduced the file size, but still too big.

I found a workaround to get to the projects in the Tech WIKI that works on my computer.

Click on the Tect WIKI link at the top of this page
Click Projects By Boat Author. It will take you to a black screen. In the URL name https://c34.org/wikiwp/ change it to https://c34.org/wikiwp/bbs/
It will take you to a page that says "OOPs! That Page Can't Be Found" at the top.
At the top of that same page look for the category Technical listed 3rd from the left. Hold your curser over it, and select Tech Wiki.
It will bring you to a Tech Wiki page. Scroll down to "Projects By Boat Author" and click on it.
It should take you to a list of boat owners projects page. Mine is Della / Jean Jon Windt., click on it.
The bilge pump project write up is the second from the top.

Hope this helps.

I can call up the Tech WIKI, but getting a black screen when I click on a category. Same issue when I go to c34.org then click on the Discussion Forum. I asked the webmaster about it a few days ago, but don't know the status. I'll follow up with him later today. I'll post the pdf of my write-up if it's under the file size later today as well.

I put a write up in the Tech WIKI with text and photos describing what I did with my bilge pumps that might be helpful.

I have a BoomKicker and a TL. As Ken said you never know what might happen. I also have a spare main halyard and a SST plate on the aft boom cap it can attach to before dropping the main as a last resort.

I use an Antal low friction ring with a Dyneema loop for my preventer, and on my outboard lift harness. What columns are you referring to?

In the 101 Topics read the Engine overheating 101-how to burp your engine. I found using a hand pump with a long suction tube in the hose from the water heater to draw water and any air out of the loop works best for me.
