Patrice, were you using 316 stainless tubing?  1 inch diameter?   My husband really wants to do this himself but the bending is the challenge.

Hi,
Yes it was 316ss.
It was a manual bender with a long handle.
But it does take some effort  💪

Jeff and Stu,
Thanks for your help. I agree no loop needed as long as I'm careful to keep the seacock closed when the mascerator is not running.
I've observed that if the mascerator is off, my tank fills with seawater.

Hi,
If tank fill with water with seacock closed on macerator.  Then it must be from the toilet flush vavle not operating properly.

Hi,
If it just the slot that look a bite narrower.
For half price, buy them and brign them to a local machine shop.
They will be able to machine a wider slot.
Take a picture with you to them before and explained what you need, they will tell you if they can and how much?.

Maybe someday I'll take on the coolant reservoir project but it hasn't  been an issue not having one at all. I just don't overfill the coolant and check the level occasionally.

Hi Mark,
I went with a gatorade small bottle.  Drilled the cap a little bit smaller than hose so it is snug fit.  And cut the end of hose at 45degre so it will never get closed by sitting at bottom of bottle.

Hi,
I second Mark on this one.
I would keep the original table.  If you ever sell or would need to convert the table in an extra berth.

I used the original table to draw the shap on a new piece of wood.
Then i made new lines were i wanted more space to sit.  More on my side and less on my admiral.
Cut wood, stain, varnish and enjoy.
The original is stored in my garaga at home.
The new table is stored aagainst the back room on tha wall facing engine. Held with bungy cord
Then i made a cocktail table.  This is the one always in place.  From memory it is like18 x 16in.
Perfect for the 2 of us.  And when sitting inside a place for the drink.

And Stu, just a tip when cutting wood with a finish, make sure the blade will hit the finish side first.  If using a table saw, put the finish side on top, if usinb a hand saw finish side under

Hi,
My compressor is located under the stove.  By previous PO.
Might not be ideal, but works.
Pretty close to box.  No venting issue.  I made a small panel to cover the area with vent slot.
It is not close to the berts, so it does not disturb at night.

Hi,

I have the extended roller on our 89 Cat.
Ancor is always on the roller, but I flip it sideways, the hook around the base of the rollerfurler.
Being on a mooring ball, otherwise the ancor rub against the lines.

When I replaced my injectors I had to remove the valve cover, otherwise there wasn't enough room for the socket wrench to fit over the injector base. The wall of the socket was too wide. Probably could have found a thinner walled socket, but rather than run out again to the stores looking, I just took the valve cover off.
I also found a pile of carbon dust under each injector after removing them. I assume it fell off the injectors when I took them out. I vacuumed the dust out. So having a vacuum handy when you start the project might save some annoyance.
Regards,
Ed
Hi Ed,
When you did the job, and had to remove the valve cover, was the gasket still good, or did you already had it planned and had a new gasket in hand.

Hi,
It is a good job to do.
It is what i'm doing now.
It was almost like yours.
I sanded them clean.
Then used starbrite teak cleaner. It clean and remove mildew.
Then step 2, still starbrite, it make teak color lighter and even out.
After all this, i will put cetol.

The big trouble right  now, the weather is not nice.

Patrice, that smaller one looks much lighter than my HF polisher. The thing about the power tool is you can't get into the narrow spots. Have to use hand polishing to do that anyway. Might as well do it all at once.

Hi,  i use it for the hull.  Goes great.
Yes for thight spot, i do it by hand.
It is easier for shoulder and arm with powertools.
