Main Message Board / Re: Atlantic Crossing
« on: July 20, 2020, 05:12:28 PM »

I know a couple who sailed their 89 Cat34 from montreal, quebec, canada all the way to the Martinique island.
They spent the first winter in the bahamas, and sailed slowly (like if you could go fast) down south after that.
And they made it back after 4 years of sailing.

But I know that it is not ocean crossing.

Very nice table.

Samething happened when i took the original table to make one smaller on the settee sides.
It looked so bigger whitout the table.
So i made another smaller one, called our cocktail table.  It's about 12x18in.
This one is alwsys in place.
The other one is sitting sidway against the wall in the backroom.  The wall of the stairs. 2 small eyebolt with a bungy cord.

Hi Andre,

I never touch them.
As mention, the mast length will retract more than the stays.
The tension will decrease naturally as the temp will go down.

The fan should not be running all the time, but run with compressor.

If you search on the net for danfoss BD 24v manual, you will find a pdf file.

I found it before.?

You might have more than one seacock to open.
Under the head cabinet, I have one for the engine, and one for the sink drain with a T to go to the head.

To check is the head pump is still good, fill a bucket with water and pour some in the head and pump.

As long as they re not working on the hook.

Does everyone have the 2" or so, thick,  insulated fiberglass panel screwed to the underside of the lid?  I assumed it was factory installed in my '86.  Or do some people have just the plywood lid?  I always assumed I was getting some leakage around the opening lip but never thought it was too bad.
I also installed some 2" rigid styrofoam pieces on the underside of the countertop between the refer opening and the edge of the icebox.

I do have the same inner piece.

Main Message Board / Re: Nav Station Hanging Locker Storage Ideas
« on: April 23, 2018, 06:58:46 PM »

For the fixed shelves that we have.
I cut them as per the hull shap in the back using a cardboard to cut the patern.
Being to dark ?,  never been an issue.
Being to deep.
On one of the shelves, we store our towels.  Rolled and put in,  easy to get to.
On another, boxes of drinks.  Pull out the box we need.
On others, we have smaller basket to store bunch of different stuff.

Advantage also, is that you don't loose 1to2 inches on bothe side for the pull out drawers because of the frame around the openning.
And to be honnest, it was easier to make.  8)

I also added shelves in the locker.
The shelves are fixed.  No slides.
I cut strips of wood and glued them on each side with construction glue under the brand PL.
The shelves can hold boxes of soft drinks.
I've put 3 shelves.

Hi Bead,
Have no idea on the liquid found.
But in your description of boat.  You mention year 88 and mkII.
I bet it is a mk I.
Good lock on your search.
