It is a three blade fixed prop from a C34 MKII. I replaced it with a folding prop.   Asking $35 plus shipping.

Will it fit my M35B?  If so interested.

We added an access door on Hakuna Matata for the HX Zinc.  I was tired of having to be double jointed to get to the zinc.  Now the whole process is 5 minutes.  Find the new zinc, 9/16 wrench, open door, put rags down and remove and replace.  DONE.  Worth the few bucks for the door and time.

Chuck,

Although not in LA area we go to Two Harbors during the summer on Hakuna Matata.  We will be there in early August for 10 days finishing up a month long trip up the coast and over to CI (first time).  Hope to see you there.

We have a 2000 MKII and love it.  Most times it is 2 to 4 of us very comfortable In the cockpit, but at raft-ups we have had up to 10.  It is tight but as Stu said no one ever goes hungry or thirsty.  We have figured out where to put the wine cellar and bar plus lots of gear and food storage.

We installed our 2 100W panels into the bikini. The. Admiral sewed the Velcro on and it works great. Installing 3rd panel over the davits to give that little extra.

And make sure you know if you need standard link or short link. I thought 8mm was 8mm and now have 150 feet of chain that I cannot use on the new windlass. Ordering new chain and will have Rode spliced on it again. Live and learn.

It will be great if you find them. I had the same issue on Hakuna Matata and ended up replacing the entire fixture. I found the original Catalina supplier and originally they sold me the fixture complete for $9 the the following year for $15. So I bought spares. They did not sell The switch separate. I have been looking for just the switch as I have one acting funky right now.

Main Message Board / KIDDE Fire Extinguisher Recall
November 02, 2017, 03:27:33 PM
All,

I just found there is a safety recall on Kidde fire extinguishers built from 1973 through August this year. There is a chance it may not discharge. Here is the link for you to see if yours is on the list.   http://www.kidde.com/home-safety/en/us/

One of the ones on Hakuna Matata is on the list so they will replace it.

Noah,

We use it to top off the batteries.  Ran it once in 8 days as the 200W of solar keep up pretty well. Adding another 100 watt panel in next few weeks. With the new freezer and reefer plus day to day use age should be close to actual usage to recovery.

We do use it to heat water once in a while but we are used to heating water on stove for washing and take shower on shore if available of heat what is needed. I looked at the tankless hw heaters but where do you hang it so not to touch anything, how do you plumb it to feed the water.

Once the next panel is installed I hope the EU2000 is just backup or used during overcast days if too many.

P.S I finished the windlass install and works great.

Jim,

I have my 2000 in a plastic bin in the port locker on my MKII. It fit perfect with adapters in same bin.  Still lots of extra space in the locker.

All,

I was able to get the original article from the author (Chic Lasser) on the C36 website. I will ask if I can post it here. Has pictures and other great info. I intend to document as much as possible with pictures during install.

The windless and remote arrived today but install windows will not happen till after trip to Catalina.

Yeah, mine is horizontal in the locker. Talked to Maxwell and they recommend the RC8 and VW10 8 or 10 mm. Ordered the VW10-8mm this AM from defender with the wireless remote. Will install when back at end of month.
