I'm learning my English, excuse my fault. After an accident with a haul out the alignment between the strut and stern tube is a little different and if I want realign my shaft correctly in the center of my cutlass bearing I need to raise my motor on the top of my motor mount bolt and the shaft will be near of the top of the stern tube. So my question is can we bend a little bit a strut to change the angle. I thing that the strut is made with bronze and it's a soft material. All of your help will be appreciate. Thank you.

Hi I want to order a Pss seal shaft but what i see is the size 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 and my stern tube is 1 5/8 Which one do I need.

Hi everybody, a couple of years ago I have installed a line cutter between my propeller and cutlass bearing. So the line cutter is very close of my cutlass bearing and I think is to close about 1/8. Since that time I hear a noise at different idle speed and I think because the line cutter is close there is restriction of water inside the cutlass but I'am not sure. For now I think if I install a flexing coupling between the transmission and my shaft I should have 1 inchs more. The flexing coupling would be a Isoflex. What do you think about my problem and about the Isoflex. Excuse my fault I'm learnig my English. Thank you very much. I know also that the gap between the propeller and the cutlass is supposed to be 1 time the diameter of the shaft but with the Isoflex it would be 2 inches.

Hi I'm loocking for picture or video for to fix my opening porthatch size 1 I want to change the lens and the gasket. Hi when I open my water heater with the 120 volts current there are some water comes from the safety valve. I check for a post about that but don't find. Maybe the water comes too hot or the safety valve is faulty? My tank is a seaward 6 gallons. Do you have an idea. Thank you.

Hi guys is there a chart for adjusting and check the rake of our mast. C34 standart rig. I see a possible adjustment on the forestay So on my boat I don't have a backstay adjuster and maybe I can give a better rake with the basic adjustment. Thank you

Hi all the members, I hope you had a nice holiday. On my transmission my mechnical man said that it would be prefer to rebuilt and change the friction discs and the two trust washer. So Westerbeke has the kit for 1000.00 canadian dollars and I check on Ebay and I can have the same kit for about half the price of westerbeke. Hello I need a new main sail and the same time I want an amelioration on the reefing system because it's never easy to take a reef with my originally system. My boat is a mk11 1997. Hello I saw in a topic about the pump (The water side seal on the pump consists of two ceramic discs pressing against each other.  One disc rotates with the impeller and shaft, while the other one is stationary.  The stationary disc is also spring loaded to keep pressure against the rotating disc to form the "seal", keeping the water inside the pump housing). I have removed my pump and turned the shaft by hand but the disc don't turn with the shaft, sometimes just the snap ring turns a little bit but not always. There is nothing for blocking the disc against the shaft. Do you have any idea about that? thank you.     Sherwood G908

Is there anybody who has remove the two bearings on the shaft of the raw water pump sherwood g908 and how to do that I think that there is a snap ring between the bearing. I see the snap ring on the picture of pump. Thank you.

I  clean and check my raw water pump but I saw something strange. When I turn the shaft only snap ring turn with and in fact the upper ceramic disc is suppose to turn the other disc to form a good seal against the water. When I check I don't see nothing for blocking the disc with the shaft. The snap ring turn on the flat copper washer and there is friction. Is it normal. I am not able to post the little video. why. Thank you

Hello I have rebedded all my chain plate because of leaking and I want to reinstall my rod inside under the chainplate and I want to know how to be sure than I have the good strengh on the rod. Last week I received my order from Westerbeke and a can of silver blue paint for my motor(m35bc  1997) and it's not the good color. My motor is more green than the silver blue. Is there somebody knows the reel color for this motor and where we can buy it. Catalina direct have said me that the silver blue is suppose to be the good one. Thank you. Hi everybody i don't llike my auto pilot with the belt direct on the steering. Is jthere somebody has a hydraulique auto pilot on his c34 and what kind is it and is it hard to install. I become from a long trip in the bahamas and when i travel by the sea i don't trust my auto pilot Raymarine with belt and i don't like the noise of the belt to. Hi everybody i have a problem with my engine belt. I have a m35bc 1997 and i am in bahamas since a couple of month and this morning i have check my engine and a saw that my belt were very loose. So i decided to adjust and i saw that the adjustement is at the end of the bracket. I have changed the belt and the new seems to be to long to. I have the good number of the belt by universal motor . My question is can i buy a new one little shorter and why my belt do not fit. Is it possible that the the pulley on the alternator is wearing?

Hi every body i come from Montreal and i am in sasafras river Shasepeake bay and i think i have a problem with my transmission, sometimes it's very hard to disengage the reverse and when i want to engage there is a big vibration when i engage the reverse but not always. I'am going to bahamas and i want to repare that and i want a good place for that in Shasepeake. I go to Annapolis boat show and maybe i can find a good place for check the problem. Fabrication in England since 25 years by Marlec and  not to big and supposed to be the more quiter according with the Practical Sailor. My c34 1997 has 7 small hatch from lewmar. I want to change some rubber who leak when my window is close. I bought a new rubber and itried to insert but he don't want to go in the small slot. Is there somebody can help me. Do i need a special tool for pushing in the good place. Is there a small triangle on the rubber for insert in the slot . i saw on many topic when you change the filter near the motor that's important to open the bleed valve. It's my first boat and my first time to do that.
