I am in the process of replacing all my fuel lines.  As some of you have suggested a spare fuel pump, even though my original facet pump is working nicely.  I did order a spare pump and discovered(thanks to NAPA) that the facet pump has a filter built into it.(on a slow learning curve).  I ordered a new filter for my existing pump.  Has anyone replaced this filter?  I have always replaced the other two filters at the beginning of our sailing season here in Michigan.  Interested in your thoughts on the facet pump.

Kirk, I am not sure if there are any advantages.  I keep my boat at Torresen's Marine and they suggested I use this.  They commonly use this for backing plates. I was able to cut and drill the holes when I had the stanchions removed. I removed my stanchions in the fall, drilled out the holes, filled them with epoxy, and put it all back in the spring.  This process has been covered on our web site.  I also got rid of the vents in the stanchions at that time.

Kirk,
I used green board, made from fiberglass.  Torresen Marine uses this for backing plates.  It comes 1/4" to 1/2" thick.  I will try to attach a photo.

Thanks Ron, any ideas about the Charles 30A or the Iota chargers.  Trying to do some research before out sailing season starts in the Spring.
Thanks,

Yes, to both of you, they are wired in series/parallel.  One big battery and a separate starting battery.  Ron, is Xantrex 40amp the only one you would recommend.  Appreciate your input and experience.

I have to replace my golf cart batteries(7yrs) and I would like some thoughts about the type of charger for these batteries.  The 4 golf cart batteries is wired as one battery.  I am using a Pro Marine charger and I am thinking about replacing the charger.  Would like some thoughts on this subject.
Thanks,
Paul

I replaced my 915 in the fall of 2011.  Replaced it with the Seafurl 5  Model 325.  I like the larger drum on it.

I have hull 944, 1989.  I do not have a hole in the mast support.  I do get some water in the bilge due to rain water coming from openings in the mast.

We use the area for pots and pans.  Use a heavy duty spring loaded curtain rod with rubber ends.  Works great.

Thanks for the info on the hydrometer.  Will keep this info on file.  John send me a 6 page article on this upgrade by email.  The pic you  are looking at was on his own boat.  I used the second diagram as in your post.
The 2nd diagram I have in my boat book, send along with John's email and I believe it was your post originally.
thanks,
Paul
