Jut to follow up it is a Sureflow pump.  Date stamp 1989, probably original to the boat.  Cracked pump housing.  New one on order.

hard to tell from the pictures, but that looks like your over pressure relief valve.  They sometimes fail in the open position.  Take off the drain hose, unscrew and replace with new one.  Should be available at any good hardware/plumbing store.

Not sure of the name or model.  Came with the boat, may be original.

I was on the boat yesterday getting ready to be pulled for the approaching hurricane.  I noticed a leak from what looks like the pressure switch or perhaps the pump itself.  I tightend the screws, didn't help.  Didn't have time to investigate more.  Is there a gasket that maybe failed or should I be looking for a new pump.

I get the USCG Aux to do a safety inspection on my boat every year.  Overboard discharge is one of the inspected items.  I drilled a small hole in the end of the handle, use a zip tie around the hose and a second from the first through the handle to hold it closed.  15+ inspectors have all said that was sufficient.  Everyone knows there are ways around, along as you show intent to obey the law they accept what ever method you choose.  This is on the Chesapeake, other locations may be more strict.

When my Truecharge died, I went with the Pronautic.  What a difference!!!   Don't kill your batteries trying to save an old charger, get it repaired or replace it.

take a look at the "critical upgrades" and 101 series stickies in the blue section at the top of the page.  Also check the tech wiki, link just under the picture at the top of the page.  Won't answer your question directly, but will give you an idea of what to look for.

I don't know if applies to the C30, but if you have an an original electrical harness like the C34 came with it might be the wires.  Read the articles about harness upgrades  in the 101 section near the top of the forum.

I agree with KWK,  when I decided I wanted to keep our boat it cost me $2K in brokers fees.  If you go with a broker, read the contract and understand it. Buying or selling a house is easier.

You need to start at one end of the fuel system and work your way through it.  You said no screen in the tank, good.  Is the fuel fresh?  Diesel looses it kick after a few months.  Are all the fittings tight and o rings in good shape on the Racor?  Are all the hose clamps tight?  move on to the secondary filter, etc.  My guess is you are sucking air, just need to find where.  Even the best of shops can screw up, if you can't find anything wrong, I'd have the shop double check the injection pump install.

There is a tuning guide somewhere on the site.  I printed it out years ago and keep it on the boat.  Try looking in the wiki or tech notes.

Thanks, I missed that post while the boat was for sale and we were someplace south avoiding the snow.

Any pictures?  having a hard time visualizing an oven with hinges on the side.  Most just have hinges on the bottom of the door.
