Found out today that the aft water fill stops under the aft berth.  I also found a water line under the berth.  It appears that there may have been a water tank uncer the aft berth at some point in time.  Tank isn't there now.

I think you have a CNG (compressed natural gas) system not a propane system.  You don't have to replace it.  You will have to get the tank recertified before the will fill it though.

The manual at  http://www.c34.org/manuals/index.htm is for a 1987 model and it shows the aft and amidships tanks.  I already printed out that manual.  I have no tank in the lazerette and i don't have a propane bottle either.  This boat came with a CNG stove and a bottle located in the aft cabin.  There is a 1 1/2" black hose connected to my aft water fill, indicating that it might be a waste drain, but I also have a waste drain located on the port side over the holding tank.  Why would there be two waste drains?  I guess i am going to trace where the line goes.

I know this may be a stupid question, but I have only owned the boat a couple of weeks and I dont have a manual for a 1986 model.  How many water fill ports are there one a 1986 model Catalina 34?  I have one forward for the tank under the Vberth, one amidships for the one under the salon dinette, and one aft, just forward of the cowl vent.  I am curious as to what the aft one is connected.

That was my thought.  I just wanted to make sure before I ground it all out.  There appears to be quite a bit there.  I just don't like bobdo on a boat.

I was performing fiberglass repair on the bottom of my boat and found a few blisters.  When I opened one of the blisters I found what appears to be body filler (Bondo).  This blister is about an inch above the prop strut.  Does anyone know a reason for there to be body filler in this location?

The PO left the hose and the suction break, they are just disconnected.  There is already a hole in the fiberglass below the flooring where he removed the hose clamps.  Apparently, the sump drain was removed and the A/C water inlet was connected to the thru-hull fitting.

The PO removed the shower sump pump and allowed the shower to drain into the bilge.  Consequently, I have no idea what pump to intall.  Does anyone know the manufacturer and model of the pump?

I used a 3500 psi, 4 gpm pressure washer to clean boat I just bought and had no problem.  I was careful to keep the spray gun far enough away to not damage the gelcoat.  I also used a wide pattern nozzle.  If you use a narrow pattern nozzle and place the tip close to the surface it can damage the gelcoat.

I am repairing a C34 I bought that was damaged in Katrina.  Has anyone replaced the woodwork above the in the dinette and galley that appears to be battens glued to a thin plywood base?  What did you use and where did you get it?
