Great pics on the Marine Elegance
Was fiberglass cut out on the left side back to make it fit?
What was the wood template for
Any pics of the QC unit instead? Thanks all very much

What i did was to purchase a 1/2 inch socket.
And then I ran it thru a grinder
Fit slick as you know what
I also used a small winch handle with a hinged neck that I bought at Lowes
Works great now. Even my diesel mechanic friend was impressed

A bit off topic but I am trying to find an electric head that fits
I looked at the Raritan Sea Era QC but with the bowl properly aligned to fit, the discharge hose would come out in front. Does anyone have a picture of an installation? Thanks

no cannot do that
they are deep inset and even a normal socket wrench will not work
There must be special tool for them

replaced one plug but need a special socket tool to get out the other two
any thoughts about a good tool perhaps on Amazon. Need to know socket size. Thanks

having moved from LI Sound to northern Chesapeake, I have had no luck with the Petite Spray on paint. Worthless. What have people had success with?

i had checked out the Elegance and I did not think it would fit given the footprint but hopefully I am incorrect!

since the spray on stuff is worthless, has anyone used velox plus?

kyle, i notice your wiring runs to the left
in my old installation, more than 25 years, the wiring runs to the right and is hooked into a switch for the macerator overboard pump which we do not use
i was thinking of the Sea Era as a replacement and I was wondering on your wiring.

Time to replace the dorade boxes
Some people have used the Nicro solar replacement, which does not look like much.
And others have suggested Vetus, Plastimo etc
Naturally I would like not to have to drill new holes and to use my old cowl vents that i carefully repainted with white enamel inside and gold leaf paint on the outside (never tarnishes that way)
Is the opening to the cabin 3 1/2 ?
Some of the options are no longer made. Wonder if anyone has done this recently?

not sure. When I bought the boat, 30 yrs ago, I had a new wiring harness put in since there was a fire issue about the original.
its time to test the solenoids, the starting motor, the glo plugs, the ground, all the connections, the 3 batteries  . the battery connections look good and tight.

any good article around about how to use a multimeter to check solenoids for starting motor, glo plugs, ground, starting motor itself? . Engine turns over with no umph; not enough energy to start the engine. Batteries do check out ok, even as to available cranking power.

i have used the petite zinc spray on transducers, wheel and prop and it is totally worthless. tried it 3 seasons
another brand was mentioned, MDR. how well does that work?
no bottom cleaner divers that I know of in Worton Creek Md. did a mid summer haul out due to crazy growth of mussels on the prop also utilizing the worthless zinc petite spray product.
