yes, its my plan to live aboard most of the year and cruise various places including the Caribbean, coming back to the midwest periodically to visit family

last month i decided to sell march hare to clear my way to do some extensive cruising on the east coast and points south. i mentioned it to a friend on my dock and within 3 days i had 3 different friends wanting to buy it. i think everyone recognized that a well-cared for used c-34. is a great buy and the most bang for the buck. i plan to continue to monitor this board for all of its helpful imfo. joe

i have the new rule pump but have not installed yet. my old pump is attached by small bolts to the bottom of the bilge. the new one has no such bolt holes, does it just sit in the bilge? anyone done this? joe

I, TOO, NEED TO REPLACE THE LENS AND THE GASKET. WHEN I TALK TO BOMAR WILL THEY NEED MORE INFO THAN BOAT MODEL AND AGE

i checked a marine diesel dealer price $305. i got the pump from a local kubota dealer. price $ 170. next time your suggestion will be my first look.

its "nuts and bolts" info like this that made me decide to get a sprint card so i could get the internet while on the boat and access this site. tx. joe

on your routine maintenance items such as oil and gas filters, drive belt, impellers,etc do you have an on-line location that you order from or do you use  some other resource?

on saturday, the smell of burning rubber and smoke caught my attention. the culprit was the circlating pump on the engine. it had frozen up and the drive belt was its victim. can someone tell me the best place to purchase a new pump.is this something to get from catalina. tx joe

mark, i had the same leak and fixed it two weeks ago. i used a wire bottle brush and also sandpaper to thouroughly clean the interior of the drain.  a plastic ball point pen cap fit the drain perfectly. i epoxied it in the drain and the leak was fixed.although the drain is now slightly smaller, the problem is fixed. joe

i recently started using an additional e-mail. i can read the message board but some of the good features are not available. how do i add that address to the membership list? joe

do you know if the bidders plan on repairing her and sailing or do they buy as you would a car that was totaled to strip parts off and selling them?

when you put it in charter, you might post contact info on this board.i've chartered on multiple occasions in different places,with different boats, never a c-34. it would be fun to charter a boat that i'm already very familiar with. joe
