I recently purchased new lenses and gasket from CD.  The lense replacement kit came with what looks like shims.  That said, I wasn't able to break loose the screws that held the hinges in place so I thought I would try to replace the seal.  I can confirm that it was made of a different material and it was slightly less pliable than the original.

With regard to getting the screws out in order to replace the lenses, any suggestions?

Toby Marion (Grandad #53) is currently planning a CA coastal cruise leaving SF Bay (Tiburon) and sailing to Catalina Island and back.  The current plan is for day sailing only with stops in safe harbors at night.  No agenda in mind other than just to have a good time.  The cruise will start on 8/17 and end roughly on 8/31.  If there are any other c34s in the SF Bay Area that would like to join up and sail together.  Please email Toby at tmarion@gmail.com
