Truth be told....

I ordered a pump from Niemec Bros.... $385, $17 for the Hose nipple, and $4.00 for the gasket..  THEN I checked back on this website and found all the good info and part #s for Kubota... from you wonderful guys!!

So, I went a mile up the road to my local Kubota dealer and ordered the pump for something like $152.00  and it came with the hose nipple, no extra charge.  We  are installed and up and running ... and Niemic Bros said no problem returning and no restocking charge.

NEXT ...  in the process my air filter seems fahocta... (yiddish for messed up.. and I'm Irish)  Suggestions on replacing that?

A big thank you to all on this website... it is the best!!

Greetings,

I am looking to replace my circulating water pump... I have the Universal M25 engine which Catalina used for one year before going to the XP engine.  Stu Jackson gave me the source of Depco Pumps which I used for my water pump last year... will call them on Monday.  Any further ideas?

My macerator is blowing fuses... it is not the original ... I put in a new one about 10 years back... it is a Jabsco 18590-1000.  I see a kit for servicing that model but they say 2015 or later... mine older than that ... I see a lot of service kits for the 1000..  Most if not all of 18590 series are 2092.  Prices are all over the map.

Suggestions?  Help!

Took to my local guy.... $100 bucks... back in and working ... he said it was gunked up, corrosion etc. etc... something about the brushes.  I've used this guy for all boat electrics, starter, generator etc.  Always good.  Thanks for the replies.

Long story short, last day of cruise engine would not start... checked wires, fuse... finally rapped on starter and she fired up.  Took out starter, what a bear that was, friend says to take to local shop and have them go over brushes, celluloid and armature.... anything else?

Engine was not cooling sufficiently, a bit ... I changed the impeller... which was not necessary and when put pump back together and fired up saw that pump itself was leaking.... cheaper in parts and labor to go with a new pump.... all parts plus pump $276 + ... The repair kit that was the wrong one was $96 with shipping need to return that...

Took Ron's advice and called Depco.... (always take Ron's advice)... Joe filled me in the the "repair kit" recommended by Obordorfer did not contain the shaft which is what is  needed... Depco had the pump itself in stock ... $274 ... less then trying to piece together assorted parts... and much less hassle.  I can return the $96 part (w. shipping) to Moyer Pumps.  Shipping today

Well...  turned out the impeller was fine pump was leaking talked with Moyer Pumps outside Pittsburgh... "Ken" seemed to know exactly what I needed... alas wrong kit...... finally talked with Oberdorfer they put me on to a Motion Indudtries near me in Buffalo. Gave me the kit #11691 and told me to tell them it is a five whole flange and shaft has a tang on it not a fork ... waiting on a price from them... meanwhile I need to return $96 worth of parts and shipping to Moyer Pumps!  Ron... will call Depco now...

Is there a specific part number for the Oberdorfer impeller kit for the M25 Universal engine.... I think I have a spare but would like a back up.

Some time back I tried to download a suggested maintenance list from the 380 Ass., couldn't do it.... any suggestions.  I have the manual but supposedly that was a good source.
