Question , We have owned #553 for 6yrs. And now we live aboard full time. Wife would like to use shower , but the water will not drain ,rebuilt the pump under the head sink and all it does now is either blows water from drain or nothing at all (over flows). One suggestion is to disconnect hose from pan floor and drain into bilge.
Any suggestion?
Thanks In Advance.

Main Message Board / metal fuel bowl for Racor 500 MA
October 26, 2013, 06:09:45 PM
Question ...... I'm planning on a primary fuel filter, Racor 500 ma series upgrade. Is it required to have the metal heat bowl? I've seen installations where they have been omitted , and even the ones that are , the USCGAux.(NOLA) have given them the thumbs up and have not flagged no bowl install , any input would be great.

Main Message Board / Headsail Halyard
September 24, 2013, 08:14:05 AM
Still no luck, with the correct routing , halyard runs thru thru the mast slot, to the swivel block on the mast base, thru deck block, thru fairleads under traveller and then used the winch to haul up headsail checked the tension it's way above 220 lbs sounds like a bass string .
Also this would prevent me from using the traveller winch. Went to Wiki manuals and no luck .
Thanks To All For The Help.

Main Message Board / rigging headsailhalyard correctley
September 21, 2013, 06:53:48 PM
Just got home from offshore and checked on the set up of the headsail (jib) , a friend rigged it for me while i have been away. It (halyard ) is run through the fiddle block like i remembered but it is terminated on the winch on the port side and it is extemely tight ,but the sail is up and no loose foot , should the fiddle block also have a cleat on it as a unit ????  Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.
