The damper plate was worn, and the transmission was not slipping but very worn. Injectors were replaced 2013 one was mis firing all four same cost at Kubota as one at westabeke
Thank you forum.Should have called it a damper plate and transmission rattle . 1990 sugar scoop.

 It started with a suspected cracked plate btw. bell housing and engine .mechanic was to look at it but I got impatient and two 2x4 together and two cut gallon jugs a come along and friend the engine was sideways in front of the sink.paint cracked not plate.pulled the bell house removed tranny .had rebuilt, pulled flywheel replaced main rear seal.pulled shaft ordered eastern flex coupling.Had the shaft cut down 1.5 " and the flex fold prop down 1\2" both blades ,would only go to2600rpm and smoke and eng. temp would rise. When all repaired parts came back,installed new motor mounts damper plate.everything went back together.test on my annual trip down the Hudson up to long Island Sound ,no vibration any rpm no smoke temp steady at160* at full throttle, 1990 m35 good for 30 more years. When bought the boat est. Eng hrs.were 1000 I have put 1400 +on it
Shaft and prop.work at proper propeller ,Newburgh ny east coast marine transmission Morgan nj.

All component s went in the cabinet aft cabin next to the water tank, and the controller where the 4000 was stb.on the side just aft of the wheel.1990 1.5 sea talk yellow wire and grd. to nema 2000

1990 #1064 the center hatched leaked PO tightened the latches and cracked plastic replaced still had leak ,removed hatch re-beded  with butel leaks gone, good luck.

Most Other times stop at c.i.y.c where I'm a member. I make the trip around the middle of may . been to all the stops except your  home port . WILl probably do one day to city island stay over then 2.5 hrs to Greenwich  , Stamford 6 more miles  201-835-6724

When you pass under throgsneck  bridge the current is coming in the
Sound east to west if time right you get there in slack . if you are going
To stop at city island you won't need the current going out as its off to port under the bridge . my first time to the sound was on a 25' sidleman  with 9.5 mid 80's did not time and spent three hours looking
At the UN . the river traffic to watch is Ferry's more now running the river . any barges will be going the same as you.

I do this every year for last ten, two hours after tide at the
battery the trip up is not as fast as the trip down , make
sure You keep Roosevelt's island to starboard trip up
river Manhattan side the right channel has low bridges

Everything already covered except automotive tailpipe expander
It makes attaching the heat softened pipe to the barbs a lot easier

Cleaning the speed sender under the v berth found the water had no where to go, drilled a limber hole but so I know that water is getting in there I put a cork in the hole ,same set up under the engine

Going through same thing. Looks like water leaking from the bilge thru the stub bolts . can fair and appoxy seal the bolts so water can't get down ,looks like water is under the glass fairing . right way is to drop the keel down clean out between stub and keel and 5200 them tighten keel bolts ,when dry tourqe to spec. Involves yard  lifting boat off keel for a day . why I'm paying to have done . caused by hard grounding or improper blocking should be booked front of keel.

After buying moody blue had 22 years of paint ,had a service use crushed walnut shells to take down to the gel coat without damage,,then put three barrier coats on. And use abalitive since still looks good.

134a ref.if you need to charge you have a leak check the connections try tighten.when you charge apply soapy water around connections look for bubbles.connections are commercial not automotive.if  system leaks put under a vacuum and spray paint connections with quick dry paint. Kyrylon ?
