Good question.  In his case it's just lights for driving at night, two headlights and two taillights.  He took all four and rewired them in series to run off the 48 volts.  Another option, which I will do on my golf cart, is to buy a 48v to 12v converter.   They're available on Amazon among other places for around $21.

A good friend of mine replaced his 6 8V FLA batteries in his golf cart with one 48v LFP battery.  He is raving about the difference.  No maintenance and no worries about SOC (other than is there enough to get home 😉). With LFP you can go with half the amp hours because deep discharge is not a problem.  Also, if you can, it's better to go with one battery because the built in BMS will take care of balancing the individual cells.  With multiple batteries you will have to periodically charge them individually to keep them balanced....

If you have a water source you can run the engine.... Just make sure you winterize it again when you're done. 😉

I raced my fin C-34 and she sailed very well to her PHRF.  With a folding prop, a new VC-17 bottom and replacing the 10 year old sails she won everything at our club.  I raced against a WK C-36 (MK II) at our club and she didn't come close to her rating.  My guess is you will be disappointed with the performance of the WK.

He means the opening where you feed in the mainsail slides.  The top of that to the top of the mast.

I have a Rudder Craft rudder on my Gloucester 19.  They do good work. 👍

I would NOT let that highly toxic green stuff anywhere near my potable water....
And if you're winterizing the engine with it and letting dump on the ground you're poisoning the environment and violating federal law.

Bite the bullet and buy a new elliptical rudder. You'll love the improvement in rudder authority.  And you're much less likely have some hidden problem that could lead to failure.

VC17 is a hard, smooth paint that works well in fresh water.  Its primary benefit is that it slightly improves speed by reducing drag.  I put it on Molly Rose after I started racing her on Lake Michigan.  The change in paint helped take us from middle of the pack to consistently winning the club races.  If you're not going to race and plan to try some saltwater sailing I would suggest another paint.

Quick way:  first pull the jib out a little to put a couple of turns back on the drum.  Then bring the sheets forward and coil them up.  Then manually wrap the rest of the jib around the forestay followed by 4 or 5 wraps of the sheets.  Then lead the sheets aft and you should be all set. 😎
