I had the same problem.
The filler cap was craked down the hole where we put the winch handle.
Very difficult to see.
I repaired it and did'nt have any water after.

Thank you Stu.

The check valve and the pump are all in trouble.

I have open them and the rubber parts are inflate... (blum.. blum..) and wave on...???
I think that the winterising plumbing liquid did that???
This  pink one with alcohol??

your input?

I don't see any brand on the pump...

Is someone know the brand mark of this pump?

That is what i do.
I inspect the imp. every year and it is always craked and broken
I always need to install a new one every year sometime two...
I'll try silicone and remove it for the winter...

Thank you!

Hello!

I would like to know how long do you run with a new impeller?

With my Sherwood pump (old model) I run my M-25 for about 70 hours...
I need to change it every spring before sailing season.
I run in soft water no mud or anything like this.

I dont see anything wrong in the pump.
I looked to the intake,  the marelon valve ½ is not ½ hole just about 3/8''??? I think there is a restriction of the water flow, and plan to change this valve next season...

Anyway this is not normal to run 70 hours with a impeller.....

In my C&C-29 i didn't change this impeller in 6 years????

Your input please?

Hello

I see two solutions

1 - Lower all the rudder by machining the top stopper in the cockpit and add a washer between the hull and upper side of the rudder
May be it should be ok with just  machining the top stopper. The weight of the rudder holding it in place??

2 - Raise all the pedestral. Add a shim under in the cockpit and reinstall.

Big job!

Hello

I think i have too much sag on my stay. ( about 8 inches) look at eye.... at 20 knots app. wind. genoa 135% full open.
I don't have backstay adjuster.
Each of my double wires on backstay is at 750 pounds on loosegage.
Is that correct?
