Thanks Stu!
Good to hear from you.
I am looking for a fixed binnacle mounted plotter, with a preference for an internal antenna. I looked at the Garmin 520, but the screen just seems a bit small.
I have been using a handheld Garmin 76C but time to upgrade.

Take Care.

Looking for a GPS under 1000.00
I have the G2 maps for Garmin, but the 520 seems a bit small.
Any other recommendations? Enjoying my 36, but miss the 34! I think the 34 is the better layout!

Hi Pierre;

I am in Ontario.
I think it is the same prop. It looks like it. It is made for the 34 or 36 Catalina (or similar)
It is a great prop off my old boat. Likely worth 2000.00 but I will sell it for the best offer over 500.00

My problem, intermitent and still an issue, is similar but not the same.
I start the enjine after the glow plug is hot and as I push the start button, the enjine "on" tone is reduced and nothing happens!
Then I try it again 30 seconds later and it is fine. My fresh water boat has no corrosion, so I am stumped. Solinoid?
Thanks

I have read a few threads, but this one has me stumped. My engine 1986 M25 starts every time when cold. After it is hot, this is what happens. I hold the glow plug in for 20 seconds....I can hear the "ignition key on" sound. Then I push the start button, and nothing happens....dead....just the "ignition key on sound" continues only very faint.

any clues ??

Thanks much

Hi David

I just sent you an email with a photo of my new canvas. Note the Bimini is attached to the stern rail for wider protection.
Ron is right about zip out windows!
Any questions just fire away!

I thought about taking them off....but did them on the boat. They took about 2 hours per side to sand...hardly worth taking off. I used a small circular sander, and with 3 coats of Cetol....They look great.

Just about everything I take apart leaks worse afterwards....so since they were not leaking they stayed on!

This may make no sense, but my 86 has the original Universal, with 650 hours on it. I believe it is an M25
Has anyone ever upgraded this enjine with a larger one? Is the cost worth the power?
We are planning a trip down the ICW and have thought about buying a newer C34 just because of the engine issue. It is not under powered, but from Lake Huron to Key West....it may be??

Any other ICW info....please feel free to share...
Can you make 75 miles per day??

Thanks

We are away from June 12th until July 10th next year. If anyone would like to cruise some of the finest sailing anywhere, email me. We have a very fine 1986 C34, inside looks "out of the box"....UK sails..very clean and well equiped.
