Hi,

I did wax the boat before lauching.
I applied the wax (mcguire) by hand.   section about 3ft width.
When it start to dry.  I used an orbital buffer.  Make a nice job.  It is not heavy to handle, and you won't burn the gelcoat like you could with the big buffer if you are not carefull.

Hi Bob,

Also, if you can, measure the lenght of the threaded part on both type of cap to compare.
It might just be missing one or two thread and is enough to cause this issue.

Hi,
Yes a new O ring might fix the issue.  But between us.  CD claim they design something new for this.
So when I buy something new, I expect it to fullfill it s purpose without having to modify it.

Unless Bob have someting else preventing the cap to fit good.

Hi Mike,

The metal post you describe seams not to fun to have around a boat.  Is it a post for the docks.
Can't the marina put some wood casing around it.
Or if you could attach some type of fenders to it

Hi,

As mention by Ken, in this situation, cotter pin facing forward.
With the incline of the backstay, if by any reason the cotter fall off, the pin itself would remain in position.

Hi Ken,
I would think that the max forestay diameter is given in reference to the bushing  internal diameter.
The bushing that goes jnside the furler extrusion.
The bushing are design to fit inside the extrusion and center the forestay cable.   Also turn on it as you unfurl or furl the headsail.
If you install on a bigger diameter forestay, the bushing will not turn freely as it should, but clamp on it.

This is my understanding.

Hi,
Most of the bilge pump I've seen, had plastic casing.
Are you talking just the casing, or the inside mecanic

OUpss read to fast, saw pump not plug.
Well hope you 're not having a plastic plug in you bilge.

Hi,

I would put back the screw in to hold properly the plexi back in place.
Just screw them until the head touch the plexi, not thightening them on the plexi.
When you put the caulking, around the opening, put toward the inside of the screw holes.   No water will endup leaking inside the boat.

Hi,
It looks like the decompression lever.
Pull on the arm when starting will make the engin run without compression, once the engin has some speed let go.
This good when your batteries are low on amps.  Or if you feel in shape and want to start with the handle on fly wheel.

Hi,

Just a suggestion, why not take some carboard and make a stencil for a piece in front and one in back of the top support that we see on the picture.
Bring to a local sheet metal shop and ask them if they could make you the 2 parts in aluminum plate.

Bring back to boat and dry fit.  You will be able to fit with a simple grinder.

Once happy with the parts, could epoxy in place.

Hi Rob,
You mention that you bought the motor bracket, but the T shape does not fit your railing.
Why not just take one half, put on the horizontal bar and mark the vertical post angle over the existing slot.  What it is missing to fit.
Remove the exess material on both half, and you have your backet.
Even if the vertical slot is bigger than required, it is just to prevent the bracket to rotate.

Hi,
Mine too run thru the cabinet.  It's hung in the top.

Patrice and Paul -

Do you have any issues climbing over the stern or is there plenty of head room?

Hi,
I don 't have any issue, the back is open i don t have the middle bar.  And this is why i prefer the panel over bimini vs over a davit
