Maine Sail contributes frequently to this Forum and many others. He has developed many of the improved electrical systems we now take for granted on our boats. He has tested electrical and anchoring equipment and reported on them. He has written one of the best "How To Wax and Buff Your Boat" articles ever produced. He sells the best butyl tape on the planet.
At our recent Officers Meeting, we discussed a proposal from one of our Members to contribute to Maine Sail's website. After considering a number of options, we concluded that the most appropriate way would be to encourage all of YOU to contribute, since a one time contribution from the Association would most likely be less than a higher quantity of small donations from a larger group of skippers.
His approach reflects ours: we strive to provide as much technical information to our skippers, via this Forum, Mainsheet magazine articles and the C34 Tech wiki. We think it's appropriate that we encourage your support of Maine Sail's contributions to the boating community as well as those he has made here.

Thanks Scott. The good news is that I beat the odds and survived astroke this kills most people who suffer one within two days. The bummer is I've lost my entire business and don't have the ability to run it any way.. even reading and writing are impacted..

I am finally out of the hospital after 53 days!the rehab will be very long ...my at home PT STARTS THURSDAY AND I can't wait.my left side I'is still paralyzed but my kik muscle in my left oreleg is starting to fire so I can take a few steps with a quad cane. Mostly I am in a wheel cair for now..

You wont see too much in the way of new /detailed posts as my left arm/ hand are still 100% paralyzed and I am having a lot of trouble learning speech to text software. 1 finger typing is not my thing..
