Title: v berth mattress size
Post by: kerk fisher on June 08, 2013, 02:39:51 PM
Hi sailors, we are miles from our boat and it's been a long time since we put a mattress topper on our cushions in the V-Berth.  Does anyone know the widest and longest measurements of the V-Berth cushion area.  Thanks, Kerk

Hi Kerk,

We just happened to measure our V berth last weekend for this purpose. We're actually looking to get some memory foam and cut it to size.  (somebody else started a thread describing how they laid their cushions out to make a template to cut the foam)....
The measurement we came up with is approximately 78" X 88".   :abd:

Hi Kerk,
Here's whae we did.
We bought a king size three inch memory foam topper at Costo, took it to our boat, laid the topper out on the dock, Laid the V-berth mattress on top of it as a template and cut the topper with a electric carving knife. Also bought standard king size sheets and just tucked the excess under neith. You can use the excess foam for pillows or other nifty things.

Kirk : Watch out on the answers from  other than a MK I owner.

I'd believe someone's answer from a close hull #.  A thought
